I can’t, and I don’t do it alone.

I don’t know how you define success, and it has very little to do with me, but my definition of success is freedom and time.

The freedom to spend time doing the things that make me feel good and the time to spend with the people who make me feel good.

Simple, right?

Of course it’s not! On paper, it’s a simple concept, but in order to the the freedom and time I have to make the money. But I want to make the money doing some things that mean something to me.

Which is where running my business comes in. It gives me the freedom to be my children’s primary caregiver and I work towards something that makes me feel good (and I happen to be good at it.)

But, I can’t do it alone. And I am not supposed to. I have business coaches, and really good ones too, I see a counsellor, I have friends who support me and a husband who listens to my ongoing chatter. I also network with some really interesting business owners. I invest time, money and energy into working ON my self and my business.

I do not do it alone. And nor should you.

But knowing you need to invest in yourself, and actually doing it is such a hard road sometimes. Because you have to value yourself and know your worth to invest, and that’s not a simple path.

I know because I didn’t really understand how, why or when to invest in myself - because I believed it was all about money. But even by reading this you’re investing in yourself, you’re learning more about life, and yourself. And that’s great.

Until next week, L xx
